Spanish Fiesta Caribbean Style.

Spanish Fiesta Caribbean Style.

Last April  2015 a fabulous Caribbean Soiree raised significant revenue for our operations.

Following on that success, June , struck another fundraising panel consisting of Knolly, Carol, Anne, Dorothy, Lynn and Steve with a Spanish Fiesta held on April 30th to assist in our fundraising efforts.

The ticket price reflected the goal and determination  to exceed  last year’s income of over $3000.

A recent visit to Dominican Republic by one of members sparked the planning of the menu, with the  able expertise of in house Chef Knolly. The program shown below was designed by Carol our resident artist. Parallel donations were sourced from the Friends of St. Barts from across Canada. The Auction  supported by the generosity of church members such as Helen, Anne, Darlene  and the business community,(thanks to Dave B) was organised by Anne, Dorothy and Carol.

Clyde Heerah and the Paradize band made a return engagement, augmented by the Spanish Dancers a member of Folk Arts Council, they  injected the musical ambience ,a key aspect of Spanish Culture, encouraging guests to the dance floor.  The unique table and wall decorations, courtesy Lynn, Carol and Dorothy, simulated  a Spanish  setting, which elicited many positive comments.  Liquid refreshments at the Cantina such as  Havana Rum punch and Sangria  supervised by Lee, Steve and Dave R. was enjoyed  by the purchasers.

The many  volunteer  parishioners  listed on the programme, assisted  in all areas of the event such that guests  enthused their appreciation with this memorable evening-a fantastic themed dinner- which jolted  our coffers.
