RECTORS WARDEN REPORT April 2015.

The Anglican church’s New Year that  is  Easter  brought   tremendous joy and thanksgiving  to the crowd in attendance  at St. Bartholomew who were refreshed spiritually by the timeless liturgy, complimented by a portrayal of the scene of the resurrection morning according to the Apostle John by members of the youth  and children’s Ministry, exultant and jubilant praise by the choir, iced with the  operatic singing of Dominic Billinghurst and the magic of Sarah Carswell  on the  violin and the viola.                                                                  
 A   memorable day of worship day, etched in our hearts.  Special thanks and gratitude  from all of us to Charmaine Bacon, Musical Director;, Lynn Doyle, Sunday school Director; Lee Titterington, sermon director and the Music and Worship Ministry  who together  made this possible.  
 Present at Midweek service periodically                                                                                                        
 Attended the Spring luncheon, great ambience, delectable quiche, and fiscal  teasing with  Purses etc R Us being present.  
At an Inter Faith gathering  at Our Lady of Perpetual  Help in addition to Christians, Sikhs, Muslims, Jewish Rabbi, Hare Krishna, Hindi, Baha’i  faith were present.  Time for conversation, prayer, music and hospitality as we learnt more about the non -Christian faiths.                                                                                                                                                             
With Lee attended a seminar- Justice Tour   2015 comprising Church Leaders   Susan Johnson head of the ELCIC and  Rev. Willard Metzger, Executive Director of Mennonite Church sponsored by the Canadian Council of Churches. Focus  was on Climate justice and  ending poverty. The leaders  invited  the circle of participants to comment on work being done by individual churches or faith based organisations , and to share plans  in place or proposed for engaging the faith communities, towards  the goal of presenting a brief / recommendations to Federal government for inclusion in  their election policy.
