The Gardens at St. Bartholomew.

In May several many volunteers came out to weed, replenish the flower beds and plant flowers.

With provincial  changes to lawn and garden care  products that utilized eco-friendly  products it was a challenge to keep our colorful dandelions and weeds at a controllable level.

Thanks to the July rains our Church property was blooming with verdant green shrubs and perennials interspersed with signature pink/red annuals.                      This year the entry to the church was flanked by three Hibiscus plants a gift from Jeannette Wolfe, placed strategically along the wall of the church building.

These tropical plants together  three planters, filled with a variety of petunias, daisies, and mixed fauna, the residua of our annual planter and hanging basket spring sale organized by Dave Abel, flourished as many  parishioner volunteers took turns each week to water all the flowers and keep the weeds at bay.
